Application submitted: let's hit the dance floor | Showing of dance space funding, networking lab & party

21.11.2025 | from 17:00h | Quarterpipe, Baakenhafen, Versmannstraße 66

In recent years, Tanzraumförderung Hamburg has become a vibrant hub for artistic practice, new formats, and collaborative research. Many dance professionals have begun their research here, presented their first steps, and created spaces for exchange. But the more diverse and dynamic the scene becomes, the more urgent the desire for greater connection and mutual visibility. Tanzraumförderung invites you to take a peek inside the studios and see what happens behind closed doors. We invite you to an evening that showcases the diversity of Tanzraumförderung, while also offering an opportunity to network, meet, dance, and celebrate.

On Friday, November 21, 2025, the Quarterpipe in HafenCity will open its doors for an evening of getting to know each other, reuniting, exchanging ideas, and dancing. All current and former recipients of dance space funding are invited, as well as colleagues, friends, and anyone who is curious about artistic practice in dance.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., all current grant recipients are cordially invited to the Networking Lab. In a relaxed atmosphere, we want to get to know each other, share questions, discuss approaches to work, and perhaps even make initial connections for future collaborations. Whether you are brand new or have been part of the TRF community for a while, come by, get involved, and actively help shape this space!

The evening officially begins at 6 p.m. with a showing: Five 5–10-minute presentations will provide insights into ongoing research and artistic processes. This stage is deliberately open-ended—raw, experimental, improvised, or performative—as a place for sharing, not for finished presentations.

From 7 p.m., the quarterpipe becomes a space for encounters. A DJ, bar, and snacks* create an open setting in which conversations can arise, new contacts can be made, and existing connections can be strengthened. A TRF wall invites you to leave your own traces – photos, texts, notes. And of course, the Quarterpipe offers plenty of space to do what we all love – dance and celebrate our art exuberantly.

*We ask you to bring a small contribution for a shared buffet. Finger food, snacks, cake, etc.
