Until 1 July 2026, applications can again be submitted for the Diffusion Funding (via DfdK) as well as for the Co-Financing Fund for the Independent Performing Arts (via the Ministry of Culture and Media / BKM). To support you in preparing your applications, we offer a joint online Q&A session where you can ask your questions about the application process.
The event is aimed at independent artists and groups based in Hamburg who are planning performances / guest performances (Diffusion Funding) or who are applying for federal funding that requires co-financing from the City of Hamburg. The Q&A provides space for concrete questions, clarification of funding criteria, eligibility requirements and the practicalities of submitting an application.
Schedule
10:00 – 11:00 – Q&A Diffusion Funding
with Manolito / Netzwerkbüro DfdK
For questions such as:
What exactly is supported within Diffusion Funding?
What is the maximum funding amount?
Can I apply again with a project that has already received funding?
Does the premiere of my piece have to have taken place in Hamburg?
What should the cost and financing plan (KFP) look like?
Who decides on the applications?
…
11:00 – 12:00 – Q&A Co-Financing Fund for the Independent Performing Arts
with Ulrike Steffel, Ministry of Culture and Media Hamburg (BKM)
The focus is on the Co-Financing Fund, which supports projects
that must prove secured co-financing from the federal state (Land Hamburg) in order to apply for federal funding, and
where co-financing is explicitly required by the guidelines of the respective federal funding programme.
The next deadline is 1 July 2026; the online application service will open on 1 June 2026.
In the Q&A we will address, among other things:
Who is eligible to apply?
Which projects and research formats are eligible for funding?
How high can the funding be (in relation to the federal funding applied for)?
Which documents are required (cost and financing plan, project description, information on the federal programme and its deadline)?
What does “Inaussichtstellung” mean – i.e. that this is not yet a final funding commitment?
…
Registration
Participation is free of charge. Please register by e-mail at: anmeldung@dfdk.de
Please indicate briefly whether you would like to attend both parts or only one part (Diffusion Funding / Co-Financing Fund).
The Zoom link will be sent to you in good time before the event.
Language of the event: German / English
